The eASSIST is an electronic version of the Alcohol, Smoking and Substance Involvement Screening Test (ASSIST).
The ASSIST was developed for the World Health Organisation (WHO), by an international group of addiction specialists, as a tool that is easy to use to detect substance use and related problems. The ASSIST is an eight-item questionnaire and takes approximately 5-10 minutes to complete. The ASSIST helps identify the risks associated with substance use.
The eASSIST provides feedback on a persons risk category and linked with a brief intervention can help explore options for addressing their substance use.
